Startup camp

I was down in London last week to attend the Startup Camp that took place on March 7th and 8th. Some really interesting talks and some useful breakout sessions in the afternoon and Saturday morning, ‘unconference style’.
I really liked David Berlind’s (cofounder of MySQL) talk, it was really interesting to learn about the history of MySQL, the decisions they had to make during the years leading to the recent acquisition of MySQL by Sun Microsystems for $1b!
View the list of attendees on the Startup Camp Wiki, or view the StartUp schedule – they said they will be putting up the presentations and other notes too, so watch this space!
There were lots of interesting people to meet, from bloggers to freelancers to entrepreneurs. I’ll be publishing such events in advance going forward as I believe they can be really useful and interesting.
